Project Lead the Way
Committed to empowering students with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive in an evolving world.
Saxco, in partnership with the Atlas Foundation, partners with Solano Widenmann Leadership Academy, part of the Vallejo Unified school district in California, to offer Project Lead the Way (PLTW) to its students. PLTW, a nonprofit organization, has created an exceptional model for providing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) instruction for K-12 students, and it is already being taught in 8,000 schools across the country, benefitting nearly two million children.
Saxco knows that our workplace, and other workplaces, continue to require a unique set of skills. Knowledge and future careers in STEM will continue to remain in high demand. Our hope through this partnership is that Saxco and the Atlas Foundation can provide these students access to this valuable curriculum and support students in real-world problem solving.
It has been very impactful to partner with PLTW and Solano Widenmann Leadership Academy as many of our employees live and work within Solano County. Giving back to these students and to our community is paramount. Saxco not only provides financial resources, but Saxco offers our employees the chance to be personally involved and engaged with the students.
